Helping you understand and resolve workplace conflict, so your team can get back to work.
An investigator with depth
I am a senior labour and employment lawyer now specializing in investigating complex allegations of discrimination, bullying, harassment, workplace violence, and other misconduct. With 20 years’ experience advising employers, unions, and other organizations on issues of human rights, privacy, workplace safety law, and procedural fairness, my clients trust me to investigate their thorniest workplace problems with skill and finesse.
I work with my clients to design investigative processes that are proportional and responsive to the specific issues they are currently facing. In appropriate cases, I also offer workplace mediation and conflict coaching ancillary to investigations.
When I engage with your team, I do everything in my power to ensure that everyone involved will experience my work as fair and respectful.
My deepest values are excellence and service, and I have extensive training in dispute resolution, nonviolent communication, critical race theory, queer- and trans-competent practice, and trauma-informed practice. I have a BA (Hons) in philosophy from Oxford University and an LLB from the University of Victoria, and I’m in the process of earning my LLM in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall.

Mediation and conflict coaching
I bring extensive mediation experience and advanced ADR training into my work as an investigator. In appropriate cases, I offer conflict coaching and mediation to parties who recognize the benefit of developing more functional work relationships.
Strategic advice
It can be hard to see your way forward when you’re faced with conflicts in your workplace, and sometimes an investigation is not the best or only approach. I can help you understand your options, and where an investigation isn’t what you need, I’ll tell you so and point you in the right direction.
